Ladies and Gentlemen, Honorary Friends and Medias:

     Good Morning. Firstly please allow me to make a self-introduction. My name is Kang Shuchun and I am CEO of SHIPPINGCHINA. I’m honored and lucky to be nominated by Port of Zeebrugge as the host of today’s business conference. Since this will be a business connection event, no large scale therefore. However, we are so glad to meet all our delegates coming here and I would like to give my heartfelt thanks and welcome. 

      Please allow me to introduce some distinguished guests attending our event. Mr. Marc Pecsteen, Belgium Ambassador. Thank you for your support! Mr. Joachim Coens, Chairman of Port of Zeebrugge. Mr. Vincent Saedeleer, Vice President of Port of Zeebrugge. Mr. Jan, Commercial Director of Port of Zeebrugge. Today, we have attendees coming from all parts of China including Pearl Delta in South China, Yangtze River Delta in East China and Huanbohai Economy Zone in North China. And our participants come from various industries including logistics industry, shipping industry, automotive industry, petrol & chemical industry, food industry and so on. Here I will give my special gratitude to Vice President of Port of Shanghai Mr. Bao Qifan, Chairman of Port of Yantai Mr Zhou Bo, Chairman of Port of Zhanjiang Mr. Zheng Riqiang for their attendance. I will also give my special thanks to Mr. Freddy, the president of MTG, which is the fifth largest world freight forwarder organization, CBG initiator Mrs. Juddy, Flanders Trade & Investment Director Mr. Kris Put. This event also gets so many media focus. The media delegates include: China Water Transport, Modern Logistics, China Maritime, China Foreign Trade Magazine, China Economic Herald, Finance Magazine, China Trade daily, Ta Kung Pao, Shanghai Business Daily, Oriental Morning Post and our SHIPPINGCHINA.        In the morning some promotion presentations will be made on Port of Zeebrugge planning, cooperation intention and successful cases. There will be a teabreak. There will be a buffet luncheon followed. In the afternoon there will be roundtable sessions from 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock and media conference from 4 o’clock to 5 o’clock. And we prepare a banquet for all delegates at 6 o’clock.  

      Next we will begin our seminar. Port of Zeebrugge is the largest ro-ro hub port in the world. At this special moment when world financial crisis is sweep the whole world, China is in its 30th anniversary of opening-up and 60th anniversary of its foundation and H1Ni causes a threat, Port of Zeebrugge come to China. What commercial opportunities will they bring to us? Now I will give floor to Mr. Joachim Coens of Port of Zeebrugge.
